If you're visiting Pine Island, you'll definitely want to get a bite to eat at El Pollo Rico. They have everything from tacos to fried cheese. I got their fried green tomatoes and grilled chicken sandwich. My grandmother is from the deep South and the owners tomatoes one-upped gramma Betty's! My chicken was grilled to perfection. It looked like it tasted, amazing! The wait staff is attentive and friendly. I would HIGHLY recommend El Pollo Rico for a casual date night or for the whole family!

Retired touring musician and accomplished aztecan chef and i have to say this is truley a great rare find. high quality gourmet fusion type cuisine coupled with a generous pleasant staff !! And may i add the prices are unbeatable to say the least. My hat is off to you El Pollo Rico ! The is nowhere on this planet i look more forward to going too than you fine folks.see you soon😊😊

Great place. We look forward to going back again and again. Want to try everything on the menu, lol. Tuna poke and fried green tomatoes were superb 👌. Clam chowder soup was great, ordered a cup and it was a bowl size. Our table, 6 people, had taco salad, mojo pork dinner, Cuban sandwich, chixnwaffles, and fish tacos and all agreed that they were all delicious and generous servings. We are telling all our friends they need to try this place.

If you find yourself heading to Pine Island, this is a Must Stop place. Looks small and humble, but the food is wonderful and many offerings are quite unique. Even my Vegetarian wife can find options to her liking. No small feat!

Fantastic ! This the Rico burger with fried plantains! If you are in the area you need to stop and enjoy! Everything is top notch and the servers are genuinely nice and thoughtful.

Roach motel! Saw roaches run across the counter between kitchen & bar while servicing their computers... I was completely shocked when they acted as if this was totally normal! Warned all my friends & family to stay away, public should be warned too! I likely would have kept my mouth shut except Mike this younger sibling stiffed me hundreds of dollars of technical services and hours of my time. It's no surprise his older siblings forcibly removed him from being involved in their successful restaurant business because is incompetent at best. This place should be shut down by health and safety, if they come in before customers are there and the noise/hustle bustle scares the roaches under the cabinets they will be appalled.

WOW just WOW 😲! Great people, atmosphere and the food WOW! We feasted on the fried pickles, fresh a little spicy and so good. Then we ordered the green monster burger and a Cuban sandwich both are worth the trip alone but we finished with key lime pie and it comes with real meringue and whipped cream. Like I said WOW! Oh and bring extra appetite.

These folks can do chicken! Best wings ever. Best soup! We visit every time we are here.

The name suggests that it's a Mexican restaurant but it's so much more. I think that they should adopt a different name to reflect their diversity. (I don't think that they are marketing themselves very well.)They have an extensive menu and it's all just wonderful!! The food is delicious, the service is personal and the prices are so reasonable. Big glass of wine for 5 dollars and many beers on tap.

As always wonderful food. The gyros today was fabulous, of course paired with the incredible homemade mac and cheese. Spectacular service by Barbara too. No room for dessert, maybe next time! Thanks everyone at EPR!

What an awesome find! We have been staying right down the street and passing by this little hole in the wall everyday. We wanted to try something local so we finally stopped in tonight. I wish we had done this earlier. The food was incredible and the staff was great. I had a burger cooked medium rare to perfection! My 6 year old daughter actually said, "The chicken fingers were finger looking good!". My wife's fajitas sizzled for almost 5 minutes after we got them. A highly recommend stopping by here if you get a chance.By chance, we ran into the owner outside as we were leaving. His love for what he does and the pure professionalism he showed was definitely why this place worked so well. We will be stopping in again the next time we are out this way!

Stopped in for lunch .... But it was enough for a dinner meal. The grouper fillets special of the day were lightly breaded and served hot with house-made tarter and shrimp sauce. I chose a house salad as a side. The salad was a very pleasant surprise. So often a bit of iceberg lettuce and a bit of tomato is served ... not here. The salad had a variety of kinds of lettuce, cucumbers, tomato, onions, green pepper and shredded carrots. It eould make for a tremendously satisfying light lunch on it's own. Service was prompt and friendly. This is well worth the time to drive to Pine Island Center. Look for the colorful chicken out front!

Another delicious meal here served by super friendly staff ( our server was Andy who offered helpful suggestions). Ordered chicken soup, truly home made flavor, half chicken dinner which was flavorful and juicy, and my husband had the pot pie which was equally delicious, as well. Looking forward to our return visit.

Really good. Taste fresh. Was recommended by a client. Not disappointed. Key lime pie was really on the spot. Food great. For sure coming back for the donut and chicken.

The chicken sandwich and the cozy were very good, the chicken (cutlet) was crispy outside tender inside. Burrito was good. Key lime pie was also tasty.

It's a laid back atmosphere and friendly service! The seafood was great, the skewers were great and especially the Berry Quinoa Salad...Mmmmmm! Plus they had music playing in the background (can't go wrong with Imagine Dragons playing) This place definitely gets 5 stars easily! 😎

The blonde hair lady who made my salad scoffed at me when I said I had a white-ish hair in my salad. She said sir I made that salad and I don't have white hair. They forgot my extra dressings but sure didn't forget the gratuity on my pick up order.

My husband I love this place. we go once a week and it's such a great experience the owners are wonderful and nice and the food is absolutely delicious , super fresh and a different kind of menu which is refreshing...Tex mex I would say with a twist --love the local smocal feel!! 👍👍

I don’t usually post a negative review but I had too. My family and I went there for dinner and ordered three appetizers and 5 meals plus a clam chowder. The clam chowder had a layer of grease on the top that was separated. I asked the waitress if it was normally like this and she said it’s homemade it must of separated from the vegetables. My children ordered chicken tenders and either the grease needed a change or the over cooked them. They were so tough my children refused to eat them. I ordered the buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese. It was 5 tiny little crumbs of chicken and some extremely runny cheese with a pound of Panko bread crumbs. Not a fan. I will not be returning. Paid $100 for a very unpleasant meal. Only positive that I can give is they had excellent fried green tomatoes. That’s all.

Neighborhood type restaurant,l don’t get out to pine Island a lot so I hadn’t been to this place.It was great(I’m not a 5 Star person)Burrito was stuffed with all the ingredients you would expect, and more.Our salad had more than 10 ingredients nice dressing!Happy wait person,everything came outTimely. The pies looked great and ours was very tasty that we ordered. Thanks,greatJob! I’ll be back for sure!

I recently just ate here again they are great! The food is great and service is outstanding! You come in the atmosphere is very homey and comforting.

Best Cuban sandwich ever!! Bread, soups, more, all made daily on premises by the chef. Relaxed atmosphere, varied menu. Sure to please. Glad we didn't discover this gem until the end of our vacation or we'd have eaten here way too often!

Not only was the food delicious, the servers were so sweet. Such a cozy atmosphere it reminded me of when I used to go out to eat with my father when I was younger. Such a happy, warm environment. I will be coming back with my friends to introduce them to El Pollo Rico!

The wings were awesome. He said he brines and cuts them that is why they were so juicy after frying. The presentation and taste were excellent. 10 out of 10.
